Bogomil Sabtchev
I was born and raised in rural Bulgaria in a small town tucked away in the Valley of the Roses also known as the Valley of the Thracian Kings. I learned the value of hard work from my father, an avid fisherman and my mother and baba, both wonderful, warm women. It was a culture of diligence, discipline and integrity. As a young boy, I loved tales of gunslinging cowboys. I dreamt of the Wild West and of coming to America. In 1998 my dreams came true: Boston.
While my initial love for painting first began in Europe, it was here in New England that my skills were refined. Under the guidance of seasoned painters, I began to comprehend the complexity and beauty of my craft. Simultaneously, I began my studies in Classics and Theology. By the time I was a graduate student, I had employed several of my classmates, one of whom remains with the company to this day.
After graduation, while attending a lecture on the American Dream, I met a cheerful teacher who became my beautiful bride. With her encouragement, Optimus Painting and Restoration was officially born. One year later, so was our daughter. Presently, we are restoring a historic 19th century farmhouse to its former glory.
Optimus is a family-owned business focused on quality, skilled craftsmanship and sincere customer service. We have built a loyal customer base, and to this day, word-of- mouth recommendations bring in the bulk of our work. We are proud what we have built and we are humbled by heaven’s blessings.
